You're right. The pro braket has 1 bolt. Bottom. Remove that and twist the braket up and it slides off the pin. So I guess I have to detach the caliper from the bracket and swap the caliper onto the pro brackets. The mx3 braket is held on by 2 bolts instead of the top pin and bottom bolt like the pro

But the mx3 has 2 bolts holding the bracket on. The pro has a slider pin on the top. How would you swap over the bracket?

Just use the mx3 caliper/bracket combo. I did not know your were trying to mix calipers and mounting brackets

I'm confused. When I did the rotors and pads on the pro I removed the bottom 14mm bolt on the bracket and then twisted the caliper up and the top slide towards the wheel well and slide off a pin. The mx3 has 2 bolts holding the bracket onto the spindle. Am I missing something or we talking about 2 different things. I'll snap pics when I pull the mx3 rear brakes this weekend

I will have to wait till i get home to look at the mx3 calipers for sure. Calipers can come in many different ways in how they attach to the bracket. The bracket in every car i have ever done brakes on attaches to the spindle/knuckle with 2 two bolts. The caliper/piston part attaches to the bracket either with 2 bolts, 1 bolt and 1 pin, or maybe 2 pins that have 2 bolts threaded in to the end of each one to attach to the caliper to the bracket.

It sounds to me like your getting the caliper, caliper bracket, and spindle bolts mixed up, causing your confusion. The 14mm bolt is the caliper to bracket bolt. The caliper bracket to spindle/knuckle bolt is larger.

Ok I looked at my mx3 calipers, and as far as how everything mounts they are the same as the EGT calipers I have.

The caliper bracket mounts to the spindle with 2 bolts.
The caliper mounts to the bracket with 1 bolt and 1 slide pin.

In the first pic you can see the bolt(rusty one beside the caliper) that holds the bracket on. The second pic shows the tabs on the spindles that the brackets bolt to. The spindles are hanging from the said tabs.

care less about that & swap the damn bracket/caliper assembly. it'll save you heaps of time.

if your dead set on it you should be able to turn out the slide pin from the LX & the bolt might screw in(thread pitch should be the same. but thats WAY overkill & you shouldn't take that method
