    4wd protege

    hi i got a protege 91 with 1.8 turbo at 17 lbs .
does anyone now the max egt temp before damage is done .?

Too many variables. Where's the sensor located?
'Sides, it's pretty easy to tune by egt and find that where you were a second ago was close and where you are now melted a piston. What are you running for engine management?
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

spending $250 on a wideband will save u countless time and money when you're not rebuilding you engine.
