    Ksport camber plates compatibility

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had success pairing these: http://www.jdmhub.com/index.php?rout...duct_id=169772
    With Tokico S/R struts
I believe the photo is generic and not the actual product.

not understanding your question really. S/R struts are no different in terms of their upper mounting area @ the threaded nut section.

I think he is wanting to know if the camber plates will work with his S/R struts.

There are people that have used Cusco camber plates on here before, so maybe they can comment on this.

ya it just has a thicker strut shaft iirc. The machine threaded sections are all the same. 97+ Escort/ZX2s use the same strut mount as the BG chassis (protege/323/escort/mx3), but use a different spring perch and bearings. Heck, check out the s/r "conversion" package you can buy...*dremel cough cough*...

My question was regarding the front struts. I read the sr strut shafts were thicker, so I assumed they were all the way through. If the threaded area is the same as 90-94 pro struts, then they should be compatible.

Do ksport camber plates directly bolt onto (front) s/r struts?

                    YES they do.
there is no difference between S/R & normal struts for how they join with the upper strut mount/(cusco/k-sport type plates)

the shaft diameter difference is ~2mm & has to do with where it enters the body- its machined down where it connects to the strut mount portion.

using S/R struts requires 3rd gen upper spring perches/thrust bearing or modifying your existing pieces for that extra ~2mm No biggy/nothing to worry about

Ryan, you feelin like a broken record much? lol I am. Look at the linked picture above, that should explain EVERYTHING you need to know about the S/R strut in a 91-96 ESCORT/TRACER , or a 90-94 PROTEGE 323. It is the two parts that have arrows indicating the ONLY difference between the struts.
