engine light + gas?

My gas gauge just dropped to 1 quarter left. my engine light came on. it does this from time to time. anyone else have this problem with their pro, or could it be something totally unrelated?

Nope never happened to my pro but that sounds really strange and bad......though the damn CEL come's on if the gas cap isint tight enough cause i guess the tank is pressureized ? but thats what i got from the CEL due to the gas.....

maybe when it gets low the preassure changes?

Ive ran my tank down to near nothing many times...only light that comes on is the low gas light. only thing i can think of is maybe some sediment at the bottom of your tank is messing up how the engines running, if its getting past the filter. my friends Buick did the same thing...and ran real bad at the same time

mine runs fine, my fuel pump should be comming next week sometime from a different website, as the one i ordered from before importpower.com or something like that decided to go on some trade show without any posting, so two weeks with no info from them. i told them to cancel the order, they better had done so.

oh yea... maybe the fuel pump will stop the light because it comes with a new filter and all that jazz
