I don't see why it wouldn't. The kit's even list the DX and LX with a 1.5L and the ES with a 1.8L I'd say it's a safe bet. Question is, where would you mount it to get good airflow?

I just ordered the heater hoses for the first gen 1.8, and installed them ... One hose goes from the heater pipe on the engine to the oil cooler, and the other one exits the o/c and goes the firewall heater core.Originally posted by IntruderComment

Right, but did you look at the link I posted? One of the heater core pipes is curved and the 1st gen hose isn't exactly plug and play. I had to straighten out that pipe and use a different clamp to hold the hose.
