hey i am new to the game i dont know much about the mazdas or other imports but i would like to know what the engine type or code is for my car it is a 96 protege lx 1.5 if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it thanks

There is a wealth of information concerning this engine on this forum so please do a search and read as much as you can to learn more about it. I should caution you however that this engine is NOT a performance engine and is considered weak by most enthusiasts. Treat it very nicely and maintain it religiously.

You are taking about the 1.5L engine, like shaun32390 say it's not a performence engine so you can do some little mods but keep it N/A
