Should I Buy stock in a belt manufacturer?

Ive been reading on this for a while to no avail.. I see the question posted many times but no real solution. My alternator belt squeels and then breaks. Its been through several belts in the last couple of years.. like one a month. I put a new alternator on it.. didnt help... everything seems free.. im tightening it pretty tight.. could probably go tighter but wouldnt think it would be any good for the belt. But you put a brand new belt on and within 2 days its squeeling and within a month if lucky it breaks and then take the p/s pump belt with it. 25 bucks a pop.. im sick of it.. and sick of having a spare belt in my toolbox.. LOL

Any help would be appreciated.

if it starts squeeling that fast its probably not tight enough
