Cruise control doesnt work!????!!?

Well me and the GF took a little trip to New Orleans today for Mardi Grai. Well I press the Cruise Main button and proceeded to hit the set button for cruise and the cruise light on the dash came on, but it never set. Tired it like 4 time and it never set.

So what could be the problem?
