I am looking for fuel efficient beater. The poor Z5-DE seems to get beat on pretty bad. I could care less about performance mods for this car (I have a Volvo 242 Turbo that is my "fun" car). Is it reliable? What are its problems? And is the fuel economy as good as the EPA says? What are the 'usual suspects' to look for? Years a go I had a Sentra (1.6 DOHC) that was a pretty good car. How does the Protege measure up? Thanks!
