Im doin an oil change and have been kinda thinkin about something. If i was to get a more viscous oil, would that potentially increase engine performance? I have 125k miles on my engine and just want to know what is best for my car. I change the oil regularly around 4000 miles.

Use royal purple if your looking for a hp increase plus great protect. I went to a testing of different oils. Royal Purple was off the charts compared to the other leading synthetics. It was a bearing test with a 250 lbs torque wrench. Most oils crapped out before it would reach 250, not royal purple.Comment

update, i just went with Exxon 10w 30 like the lil book in the glove box said. Change the oil filter to a fram and its all good. So, no penzoil, but why not?sigpicComment
