Hey guys,
Kinda new to the car scene. I just got a 1995 protege which has a few problems. Among them are an engine which on occasion seems to do nothing when I hit the gas. I press harder, and the engine surges forward.
I understand that cleaning the EGR Valve can fix this problem.
I've begun working toward that end. I've removed the throttle body at the cost of some rotting hoses attached to it and I see the valve in the back.
Am I heading in the right direction for this problem or have I just wasted three hours of my life?
