    1997 Protege radio question

I was recently given a 1997 Protege with 164,000 miles on the clock. The radio/cassette works but I can't read the display so needless to say I don't want to spend money on an after market unit. If I have to go to the junkyard what Mazda models and years can I swap radios with? Thanks.

You should be able to swap with other 97's and 98's I don't know exactly about fitment and compatability, but in my '98 i had a CD player.

any similar DIN sized mazda radio will work.

thats all you realy need to look for.

Mazda radio plugs have been the same since like 1990 untill the newest generations of cars. But those are all like gihunormours

Using Linux for anything serious besides server or software dev is like using a tin can and a string for telecommunications.
