I want to make sure before I pass up a deal. Will 1st Gen springs fit onto our 2nd gens? Anybody know for sure and why they don't fit?

Ok thats Nice, You Just said no and didn't answer his 2nd question WHY. im not sure about the gen 1's but today a friend of mine that has a 99 lent me his stock springs, struts and rear sway bar, just to see if anything was compatable. if you were reffering to a 3rd gen i could help. and no 3rd gen springs will not work either

Its just a matter of fitment. The intire strut/spring assembly is different on both cars. 1st gen have 4 mounting bolts, where as 2nd gen has three. Ususally, interchangablity of such parts is almost impossible. You can obviosuly do an emgine swap, but springs would be a no. I hope this helps.
