My daughter has an 02 w the twin cam engine. It starts just fine but revs to 5k and stays there. Im thinking gps. I live several hours away and can't get there to look at it myself at the moment. Any ideas are appreciated.

I have seen things get wedged in the throttle plates causing this kind of thing. I have also seen bad idle air control motors cause this kind of problem.
first thing to do though would be check the throttle linkage/cable and pull the intake tube off and have a look at the throttle body.Comment
