Tail light apc sealent turn yellows more detail inside

Hello,sir,

I bought apc clair tail light and the sealent are all yellowed it is brand new tail light.

I woudlike know it is normal on apc tail ligh. Because for me look fugly.

I look on ebay and you see on tail ligh the sealent start to turn yellows.

For me look like cheap sealant and cheap compagnie.

Please give me you advise.

on clair tail ligh yellow sealent just look like ugly.

it the first think you see went you look a the tail light it is this yellow sealant.

clear sealent or silicone exist why big compagnie like apc use cheap sealent and turn yellow.

I have some windows have 20 years and the silicone still clear.

Well you can put them in an oven and separate the light housing. Scrap off the old sealant and then reapply a sealant of your choosing. Depends on how much you like the way the lights look and how much work you are willing to do.

i tried to put one tail ligh on ovent around 6 min a 200F went pried gently un the joint get long crack in de tail light. around half on the lense of tail have crack on it.

also went tried to remove old sealant the come paint tear off.

i like the still but not quality apc make cheap product

I should have gotten here sooner.

We already found that the tail light cannot be separated, using the oven or anyother method. Alot of people have tried this before, and always ended is disaster, the plastic of the light melts. THe headlights no problem though.

Apc does make a poor quality product but thats ok becuase they are inexpensive.
