    did someone call a taxi?

so I started my plaid fetish this weekend. :icon_lol:
I have zero experience when it comes to interior fabrication.
Not that hard at all. Made a few mistakes of course, but overall I really like the way it turned out so far.
The fabric was easy to work with and forgiving as well. If I messed up and there was a crease, I just simply stretched it out.
Turns out there I didn't have enough fabric to do the door panels like I wanted to. But I may order more and do that in the near future. I still have some material left for some smaller things should I feel the need.

Now I know this is not everyones thang, but I really like it quite a bit. :icon_thumright:
Love it or hate it...its all gravy. :icon_lol:

    :icon_lol:

probably do the shift boot as well. didnt have time this weekend. lol

        yea, I hear ya. lol
Its not for everyone for sure. lol so good bad ugly comments are all ok.
someone mentioned maybe adding a black headliner to make it flow a bit better. I may do that. But not until I do the door panels, shift boot, and seat inserts. yep, I like it loud. lol
I know I'll get mixed opinions so no harm with that.

Shift boot and door panels. Black headliner would be good.

I actually, kind of, sort of, like this? Haha. Doesn't look like you messed up at all. Everything looks straight and not wavy, so good job.

I think with the yellow exterior, using the yellow plaid for some interior panels looks pretty nice. I think if maybe the rear deck, and possibly the headliner, were done also, but the seats and carpet and dash stayed stock, it would be pretty tasteful!!!

Maybe just some yellow piping on the seats (if there's any piping at all) and even possibly the cloth inserts in the door cards. but if you go overboard, it's just going to look silly.

I like it, it came out really good. Me personally, I would've done the headliner instead cuz it's always dirty, and you don't see it all the time. I like the idea on the a and b pillars, but it would catch my eye, or make me go cross eye when turning/cornering with the lines in the fabric.

thanks man! it really was quite easy. although, after installing I did notice the patterns are not lined up the same. lol no biggie, but I may make all the patters uniform later down the road.

the rear deck? great idea man! I didnt think of that! im thinking a black headliner, door cards, maybe the rearview mirror. But yea, I like it loud, but I dont want to overdo it, which some say I already have. hahaha

thank you sir! I was going to do the headliner, but like you said, it gets real dirty and I'd be afraid the plaid might show up even more when it does get dirty. lol so i was thinking black to hide the dirt, and it wouldnt be too plaidy. lol

went to meet last night, then a few of us went for a canyon drive. plaid was accepted. they all liked it.
heres a pic from the drive and you can see the plaid pretty easy. I laugh everytime I see it.

hmmm...I wonder if that would happen with my windows being tinted. I guess what I'll do is tape a sheet of the plaid fabric on the deck and go for drive to see how it looks. nice sunny weekend coming up. lol

                            made a shift boot:
