hey guys,

I've been registered here for quite a while, but didn't post much anywhere... basically hung out in the for sale section.

I had a ford escort LX with a GTX transplant, so I didn't relate to you guys as much.

but things are changing, I'm parting out the escort (if anyone needs anything they're welcome to PM me.), and I just purchased a 2000 Protege, 1.6l DOHC.

I don't know much about the newer proteges, I recognize some stuff under the hood, basic engineering seems to be similar to the 1.8l DOHC BPT I had, but obviously with the OBD2 and stuff, there are a lot of changes, namely the distributorless ignition with two coils integrated to the 2 and 4 spark plugs... quite different from even the ford 1.9l DIS I had in the original LX engine...

anyways, I just wanted some info sources, if any of you have and can help me out.. anyone have a link to somewhere where I can download a complete Mazda Shop Manual for this car in PDF format?

hey thanks! I didn't know the protege garage. or that last one.

btu what I'm reaslly lloing for is a mazda repair and maintenance manual (you know those think 1000 page books the dealers have.

youd be hard pressed to find one of those, however just so you know its called a dealer service maual and my buddy downloaded one off limewire for his nissan

well, ya never know... I have one for the first gen protege, and the GTR supplement, with electrical troubleshooting manual. and the service manual and EVTM for the escort 93... all from contacts here nd there... so I thought it was worth a shot... I'll just funt it on ebay then...
