    2.5 duratec from a contour

Hey guys, so a buddy of mine needs a motor for his contour. Well he found one but it's like 5 hours up north. So I'm thinkin, will the motor fit in the back of my escort gt? Will the springs hold that much weight? The car is completly stock.

wont be an issue. it will be like having two passengers sitting in the back seat. ive loaded up engine in cars alot smaller then even an escort.

but in all truth that 2.5 is just a duratec. every junkyard anywhere has a collection of them as there BEYOND common. why not just get one from a taurus and swap the small different things? you could probably even get one cheaper, and closer. plus then he could upgrade to the 3.0 version.

Well, his uncle has a motor with only 50,000 miles, He plans on just throwing the 2.5 in it and getting it running, and the 3l swap is down the road yet. He just wants to get it running for now. Think it'd be possible to get a third person in the back? Lol
