    Ford escort Wheels

    Hello!
I have a 2000 protege LX with the 4 bolt hubs.

I want to get a set of 14 inch allow rims from a 93-96 ford escort. I want to run these for my winter tires. Rims like these:

I know that the bolt pattern and CB is spot on but I've heard of some older protege wheels rubbing on 3rd gen brake calipers. I'm afraid these wheels might not clear the caliper. I'm running 14'' steelies now for my winters and they aren't a problem. I'm sick of steelies getting rusty and I refuse to use hubcaps and dont like my axle nut getting attacked by moisture and salt. These would be perfect...and look cool in an oldschool/rally car way.

Anyone know if the Ford Escort rims will clear the caliper?

I dont know about those wheels, but almost positive Honda Del Sol 14" (the ones with the ENKEI logo on the back of one of the spokes) will do.

And by the way, welcome to CP forums...
