its about 3 inches to short... stock size on a protege was 22.6" tall if you do the math...

not to mention it is 12% small circumference, which means if your speedo says 100 your going 88

i know its about 3" shorter, but i dont really know what an appropriately sized slick would be for our cars

well one of my miata friends was running on a set of 13" rims with slicks that had to be way more than 3" less in diameter and he was killing the competition at the autox track

these are drag slicks, not autox slicks (i am pretty sure)

First off, you have to remember that when they measure slicks, it isnt at 35psi like a street tire.Mickey thompson measures slick size at a moderate 17psi.I ran them at 20 psi last nite and they still bit good. The actual size of the tire inflated to 30psi is 21".To be quite honest, the slicks at 20psi are 2" shorter than my 185/65/14s that i run on my car daily.I took the car to the track last nite and pulled off a 14.7@ 91 with a 2.1 60 foot.My time last tuesday was a 14.8@94 with a 2.3 60ft.I got to thinking and i dont think slicks are a good option on my car being its still n/a.I lost alot of trap speed due to the engine bogging down between shifts.I think they would be great for a boosted car that can carry the power through the shifts. One of my runs last night, i missed 2nd and still pulled off a 2.2 60 foot and this was without the slicks being heated up.My ebrake doesnt work for **** so i didnt bother using the water box.
