This past Sunday, the 28th, I was running hard down the interstate on the way to work. I exited the interstate to find that I had lost all my gears; after a thorough check today, it's been determined that I am in need of a new tranny.
I know it's not the best idea to use a turbo as a daily driver or to race every Civic I see, but I do what I have to. I'm planning on purchasing a daily driver, probably a protege, this fall after I receive my scholarships and retire the MX-3 as a weekend car.
Anyway, I start Respiratory Therapy school in a few weeks and I don't enjoy bumming rides to work off of my friends all the time; so, it's quite important that I have my car up and running as soon as possible. Needless to say, I'm a young college student in need of quick funds; so, part of my audio system is up for sale.
The first item is a Kicker ZX750.1 Class D Amp. I purchased this amp new in March. Since then, it's never been loaded "lower" than 4ohms. The amp is in as good of a condition as when I took it out of the box. If needed, I have the original box, the warranty card,the remote bass control, the manual, and the application for the Kicker decal.
I'm asking 200$ shipped; however, the price is negotiable.
I'm also selling two Alpine Type R 10's. They are currently in a bandpass enclosure, which I assume no one wants, including me. These are the "standard" dual voice coil 4ohm subs which have an RMS of 500w. I purchased these at the same time as the amp; the amp pushs a 350w RMS load on the subs at 4ohms so these subs have never been "pushed to hard."
I still have the original boxes for these subs, but I no longer have the manuals.
For these, I'm asking 80$ shipped for each sub or both for 150$; the price is negotiable.
I also have a Rockford Fosgate 100a fuse holder and a Fosgate distribution block I'll throw to whomever purchases the AMP: if requested.
If, for some reason, an individual wants to purchase all three items, I will work out a deal.
I'm open to trades; however, I really need a G-Series tranny but will consider interesting MX-3 parts.
I'm located in Knoxville, Tennessee; approximately thirty-five miles north of the infamous Dragon's Tail at Deals Gap.
