FS: KIA BP trans + midshaft, axle, slave, mounts

ive had this for awhile with plans to build my own hybrid trans. then my plans changed once Mfactory came out with the H series lsd, and have zero use for this now. i was holding this for someone, but they have since not had the cash. so it officially goes up here.

this is a good kia BP trans that came out of a car with only 72k miles. it also includes the mid shaft, slave cylinder, shift linkage, all mounts, and all sensors.

i want $250 for everything. id prefer a local buyer as im not quite sure how to ship something like this. i can supply any more pics if needed. or if you want any other angles or such.

So, remind me again what the advantage of a Kia trans is over a factory Mazda or Ford one?

much stronger case. plus the spline count is different, so you can actually use the MSP lsd! i think even the gearing is better. basically if you have a BP/BPT, this is one of the best trans that bolt ups.

The gearing is the same as the escort gt/protege trans but the newer style kia case allows you to incorporate the gear set from a 3rd generation escort (longer gears). Jon did this with his Kia trans.

Ah, so with a Kia trans you also need Kia axles and spindles?

you need the axle's. im including a good drivers side. and the mid shaft, which is worth $75 on its own. your stock hub's will work fine.

$50 for the intermediate shaft. I may be interested in the whole kit and caboodle eventually but I definitely need the intermediate shaft.

ill def have to pass on that. they sell for more then that easily on here. plus id prefer to keep it as a set so whoever wants the trans can easily install it. otherwise when my trans gets sold, they will have to hunt out a midshaft.

What do they normally sell for? The price I got for a new one was $180 and a junkyard around here says that they have one and will sell it for $100. I don't necessarily trust this particular business since they sold me a trailing link from an 03 Protege instead of a 93 Protege.
