Yes the gears will work. They also offer 26/28 spling g series diffs. The main gear is the only piece they may not fit the older g series but that is a different group buy.

I don't understand this. Why did they make a ****ty .73 ratio? why not a .67 or something of a notable difference on the highway.

why even get gears when the transmission case will flex destructing the gears. Unless you have the plate mod.

Trust me, I joined that forum and said the same thing. They shot it all down with oh the car won't accelerate or it won't be able to maintain speed or why do we need that top speed..... Then I am even surprised they made it this far to agree on gear ratios.

I want to know why anyone would even need a stronger 5th gear let alone one that could handle 500hp. Can't say that I have heard of anybody blowing up 5th gear...ever.

3rd and 4th gear I can understand but if you have to have a 5th made at least make it something that isn't already available. /rant

The plate mod is a reinforced steel plate that gets installed in the 5th gear section to give the case more strength, courtesy of Ferdi.

.717 bogs down the BP pretty badly in my experience. but the RPM drop of a .6X would be most ideal.
due to physical constraints in the case end im not sure what is actually possible for a ratio. or if the tooth profile could be made different to makeup for the size contraint.
but yes i totally agree- no real point for a stronger 5th unless you are creating a longer gear someone might actually use. my commute to work per example was a good 30 minutes of daily highway driving. even knocking off another 500rpms would pay for itself in fuel consumption alone.

You can just buy 4,5 if wanted, i contemplated about just doing that as well but i will get both and make the decision further down the road. If we can get 5 members on here to a agree on a gesr ratio we can make our own gb.

completely baffled by this. like, you still have to deal with case flex and ****, right?

far as I can tell, there are two ways to deal with the G-series blowing up:
                              -swap in E153
                              -use a bigger turbo
