3G SPI wagon (auto):
edge of hood to rib: 3/4"
center of hood: 1-5/16"
intake clearance: none. seriously, there's a bunch of **** in the way, I'll post a picture when I'm not on my phone. a single might work if you flip it backwards and move the dipstick.
MX3:
edge of hood: 1"
center of hood: 5/8"
intake clearance: 3/4"

03 Accord DX: K24/5MT, peasant-spec old man's car

Looks like there is absolutely no room in an MX3 except for a CS style bar unless you get clever with the routing. Perhaps the same with the 3rd gen escort.
Someone want to measure a 1st gen protege and 323 for me? I am assuming they are the same as the Escort, but just want to make sure.

The routing for the millenia manifold might be tough too. Basically, the very center point of the manifold, directly between the strut shafts is level with the fender at the same point. It's 1/2 inch lower than that directly behind that point, if you go back an inch. And a full inch lower if you go forward an inch. Basically, a single bar should be no problem on the v6, and a double will fit if the center of the rear bar is positioned about or more than an inch behind the centerline of the strut. That is assuming the lowest point of the bar is no lower than 1/2" below the top of the fender for the rear, and no lower than 1" lower than the fender line for the front bar. (This is measured at the center point of the strut shaft, not off the front studs of the strut mount, and to clarify, this was measured off the external fender point that the hood sits flush with when closed, not the recessed point that the hood closes into.)

The only thing the 2nd gen Escorts have going for them at this point is slightly more hood clearance then the other cars, but it still sadly wont allow the bar to fit over that manifold in its current form.
If you could get the MX-3.com forum to have some motivation to get a car for Jim to test fit, he is willing to build a special one for them to fit around a ZE or Millenia manifold, then you would have an option for running it on your millenia manifold KL.
So far its only looking like the double bar will only fit BP equipped cars, or maybe a BG with a KLDE or K8

Sorry I never got around to measuring, guys. I have been very busy with college and work this past week and a half, and just haven't gotten around to doing it. Now it's too dark out to do it correctly, but I did just look at some photos I have of my car, and I don't think that the bar will fit very easily, if at all. Zx2's have their windshield washer bottles right next to the strut tower, and it sticks up past the top of the strut tower. I have a feeling it would be in the way. And then the A/C lines are in the way on both sides, it looks like. Plus the throttle body's location is the top of the intake, facing up, and then there is an elbow on top of it, plus an intake resonator attached to the elbow, and it looks like it might be in the way. I will get measurements as soon as I have time, but it isn't looking good for the zx2.
I am attaching a picture of the potential problem points.

Quick update-
I got tracking info tonight from the laser cutter---they'll either ship tonight and I'll have them tomorrow, or ship tomorrow and I'll have them Friday/Monday. I've got about a hundred feet of cromoly, we've already made 60 of the 80 cups and have started on the gussets---tomorrow/Friday we'll start on the rest of the pcs in prep---should be able to start assembling/welding as soon as I have the flanges. On another note----I went and inspected a car I built a few years back that rollled over---big crash, drivers great---cars totalled... http://youtu.be/i7zh5Hy2TT8 it's impressive/BIG crash, car looks like tinfoil...
