As we have sufficient numbers on the list, it would be good if we could start discussing what spring rates you guys want. Basically, would need to know:
1) application/usage
2) suspension modifications (i.e swaybars, as these hugely affect the balance)
Thanks!MFactory / YCW Engineering (LSD's, Gears, Flywheels, Clutches, Driveshafts, Axles) - www.teammfactory.com

My application is a wagon, and a daily driver. I sometimes haul stuff in the back plus it's slightly heavier anyway than the sedan or hatchbacks.
The only other mods are urethane suspension bushings and the sway bars are stock.

92 Escort GT.
Weekend warrior / SCCA (first timer)
Totally stock at the moment but planning on new suspension bushings, strut bars, tie bars.
I'm a newbie when it comes to suspension tuning. Previously just dropped cars on whatever was available but I want to get into SCCA and post some good lap times so I will be trying to tune everything I can.

95 Escort GT. High powered street car, occasional trips to the drag strip, and just getting my feet wet with autocross.
All suspension bushings have been replaced with poly. Strut braces front and rear, lower tie bars front and rear.
Upgraded front and rear swaybars. If i remember correctly the stock setup is 22mm front/21mm rear, and I believe I am running a 25mm front/22mm rear.
Current suspension is a ground control sleeve kit (300f/200r) on nothing-special Tokico struts. Handling is relatively neutral, however the ride is rough, most likely due to the dampers.Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

Would you guys be happy with our regular springs, or would you prefer to use Swift/Hyperco for a small additional charge?MFactory / YCW Engineering (LSD's, Gears, Flywheels, Clutches, Driveshafts, Axles) - www.teammfactory.com

Roughly what would the additional charge be, and would there be any appreciable difference in performance?
In the initial post you touted the quality of your standard springs pretty highly:
62mm ID Cold-Wound Japanese SAE 9254V Chrome-Silicon-Vanadium Steel Linear Springs
- Custom-made for us in Japan from the highest quality Japanese-grade spring steel, using proprietary manufacturing processes
- Not all springs are manufactured the same. Lesser-quality, Taiwanese-manufactured springs offer inferior performance and durability
- Although more expensive, we believe the increase in performance more than offsets the marginal increase in manufacturing costsEscort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI

The Swift/Hyperco's would be around $300 extra.
Just wanted to make this option available to you, as some of our other customers (other fitments) have asked to upgrade to the more "established brand" springs, so we can just order up the batch of springs at the same time. The difference with these, besides the brand, is the weight; they are lighter springs.
With regards to our regular springs, these are made in Japan by Tohatsu Spring Company (a quick google search will tell you who they are), so they are a good quality spring, yes.MFactory / YCW Engineering (LSD's, Gears, Flywheels, Clutches, Driveshafts, Axles) - www.teammfactory.com

Anything that fits the BG should fit the EC just fine - James (300zxrb26dett) owns both and I'm sure he will agree.
As far as springs go I would be fine with the standard Tohatsu springs. I skimmed through their website and they say that their springs are lighter than average too, so for tearing around town and destroying tires at the occasional event I'm sure they will be sufficientEscort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft.
