I am in Northern Georgia … north of Atlanta about 70 miles.
I am selling my dark blue 2000 Mazda Protégé ES with about 73,000 miles.
It is a 5 speed standard and has no sunroof. I have been religious about doing oil changes and maintenance.
The car has just had the transmission replaced and has new tires that have less than 5000 on them; the brakes have also just been replaced… It is ready to go.
I have the old transmission if you want it and some of the stock parts.
The car handles great and is very snappy and responsive with the mods on it.
It handles as well as my dad’s SE-R Spec V. There is very little body-roll and is very tight handling. The sound system is great and has good sound quality.
This car has been well taken care of; a great car for the money.
Car is very clean, washed weekly, and gets detailed almost every two months.
Asking $7,000 or highest offer with all mods included.
I have done some work to it as you can see from the pictures…
Pioneer head-unit and front speakers, Rockford Fosgate rear speakers and sub (10’ boom tube) Sounds MUCH better than stock with no distortion.
20% tint on back and side windows with lifetime warranty
Eibach Sportline springs that lower it about 1.5 inches and stiffen the ride
ACT street clutch and pressure plate with less than 5000 miles on them
Hawk brake pads
Cold air intake
Muffler replaced with aftermarket one (nice deep sound, no cheesy Honda sound)
AWR sway bar in rear (21.5mm adjustable)
Mazda speed sway bar in front (very big bar… forgot size)
Strut tower brace bar
AWR engine mounts (much more solid than stock to keep wheel hop down)
JET Chips tuned ECU
17 inch ICW racing Trident model wheels, wrapped in Kumho 215/40R17 83 H
Painted engine and exhaust (to prevent rust and bad looks) Color matched brake calipers and drums
MP3 spoiler and ground effects kit
Fog lights and mesh grille
Green LEDs under the seats with plasma sphere in back… kinda cool
MOMO cobra shift knob
Pedal covers
Metal gauge bezel for gauge cluster
“Mazda Speed” sun screen decals in black
Silicone wipers … very nice, don’t know how I did without them before
The things “wrong with the car”:
Of course the regular rock chips that come from driving, two chips on the spoiler, and a few small dents in the passenger side fender above the wheel well.
I know that the guy that had the car before me had to replace the right front wheel and fender because of an accident.
I can’t think of anything else to mention… if you have any questions let me know; I am in college now so I have limited time… but I will get back with you.
