It uses enough that not servicing the engine would be foolhardy. I do not have an exact figure, but the engine ran as long as I kept oil pressure in it.

can't be worse than 1q/100 miles. thats what my old engine blew out. nothing like adding 3.5qts at gas stops!

btw, I wish I lived closer. I'd like a nice LX to play with
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

The '94 DX? It's all for decoration.

I presently have the subframe torn off for a ZX2 front swap, new engine, modified rear suspension, then just minor stuff. We've had Proteges for six years and I've been toying with them all along. Perhaps this one will become an autocross car, or maybe just a fun commuter car. I'm averaging 26,000 driven miles per year so I could use a commuter (or a private jet).

So we have properly done mechanical and electrical work, and some good solid parts in this vehicle. I'd hope someone wants it. I need to gather a down payment for that jet.

Er, i just replied to the other thread. I wholeheartedly agree with your wife that you should purchase this car

I priced it for a quick sale and I am happy to see the feedback and interest that you all have given. I think $800 will do if it's sold soon, I've installed a little less than $2000 worth of lightly used parts over the past several years so I really hope someone will buy it, fix it, and enjoy driving it as much as we did.

I'll post more photos this weekend.

It's still worth buying. The price is only going to go up if I have to fix it and my girlfriend falls in love with this little car again.

Good time of year for a little project, spring driving weather is coming up and this thing gets great fuel economy while darting through the curves

Would you pick me up at the airport or bus terminal? I would really like to have my 2nd tax check right now. Any clue what a shipping company would cost to have it transported to cincinnati ohio 45242? Idk who to call to find that out.

                          More details on the car;
                          • There is a tear in the headliner from where a roommate of my girlfriend several years ago pushed a computer box into the back seat (). I will add a photo this weekend. Look at the headliner above the rear seat in the already-attached photos; it's something that can be repaired with headliner adhesive alone since it was a clean tear.
                          • The CV axles were replaced recently (within past year or two). The ACT clutch beats them up good even as gently as we drove, but so does using the awesomely tight turning radius.
                          • There is a spot of rust on the drive side door. It's on the door only. I will add a photo this weekend. Look along the bottom edges of the driver door in the already-attached photos; it's not awful or really visible but you might want to address it.
                          • The driver's window does work but is slow. The motor spins fine, so I believe this is the window gears being all chewed up as is pretty much standard from the factory. There are good threads on this forum for how to fix that from junkyard parts for just a couple of dollars (or free depending how nice your yard is towards tiny value-less parts).
                          • Side mirrors are a bit loose and they wobble a little. The set screws need to be tightened. This is up to the buyer to adjust to their liking, it's a common problem on most old cars with power mirrors. The motors and all electronics for the mirrors work fine and I was never bugged by the mirrors so I never adjusted it.
Sorry for the seemingly random lists; I'm trying to post as many details as possible since the most interested people are a long haul away. I'd hate to have someone view the car and be disappointeded by a surprise.

I'll be able to take more photos of it this weekend; I am out of town.

Nothing much special going on under there, but that's a good thing since it is stock underpinnings. We did get the vehicle re-aligned with the new tires, so my trusty tire shop told me all of the suspension pieces are unsiezed and in good working order. Exhaust is also in great shape having been replaced in the past couple of years. There's no road salt in this part of VA so the car hasn't succumed to cancer-rot like many of these old papier-mâché-like BGs.

I have photos of the suspension, with the car sitting on the ground. As I said - it's stock. What you'll see is a nearly rust free suspension with nothing special going on. It's in better shape under there than I had remembered (I've spent a lot more time under that DX of mine recently). I'll not waste the forum's bandwidth posting them, PM me for photos of the suspension. I will probably have to email them to you due to their size.

Car is still available, still only $800. Reeeeeely weird one of you guys hasn't leapt on it with these modifications, the nice overall nice condition, and this price, but we'll just have to see what happens.
