Good luck in whatever you decide Jon. If at all possible, I would keep the car because you will never get what it is worth out of it and you will regret it.
I don't know what United States Postal Service pays, but I would look into it if I were you. I work for Canada Post and the hourly wage is around $24/hr plus bonuses and you don't need any further education. Just thought I would mention that in case you don't really want to go back to school.
