Maybe FS: 1993 CDM 323 with bp disc brakes etc.

Ok, I'm gonna start off by saying I don't need to sell this car, so this is mostly a feeler but It has been getting on my nerves lately. It's mostly just been a fun winter driver for me, or for when I need 4 seats. Here's the breakdown:

    the good:
    BP swap
    LX gauges with 7k tach
    escort gt brakes
    escort gt seats
    escort gt front bumper
had a new exhaust fabbed up last month
canadian car, so has manual seatbelts and rear wiper

    the bad:
    the wipers are acting up
I just swapped in a new gas tank due to the old one rusting out, and there's fuel leaking somewhere back there

    the ugly:
    it is rusty as ****.
brake lines are rusted all the way through, very little to no stopping.

if there is any interest I'll take more recent pics. Also those wheels wouldn't be included unless you really twist my arm.

Dustin... Unlikely, I know, but if you decide to part it out, let me know. I'd be interested in a trip to Lexington to pick up a few parts for my Protege.

(Or if you decide you'd rather V6 swap it, check out my MX-3 Part out thread.)

yeah, part out is pretty unlikely, I would need the money to get a different winter driver, but what sort of stuff are you looking for?

and it looks like i forgot to list a price. I was thinking $1500 but like I said I'm not 100% i want to sell it, but open to discussion, trade etc.

I would mainly be interested in the front bumper and hood. If the rear would work on my BG, I'd be interested in it as well.

How much rust are we talking about?

it's rustier than my 1983 jeep cherokee. pretty much everything under the back half of the car has a layer of rust on it, i was able to remove the old exhaust by hand by twisting it in half. the frame rail bits still seem pretty solid, but using an impact wrench to drop the subframe the other day left flakes of rust all over my garage floor. anyway, i'll probably just suck it up and fix the timing belt and keep driving it, but I kinda want a truck now, not sure if I can fit a washing machine in the back of the 323.

i'll keep that in mind, but I'm pretty sure the hood is different on the 323.

That hood was only used on the Protege in '94, so it'll work for me. Just something to keep in mind in case you go that route.

Ok, brake lines rusted through today. Thats the last straw. Picked up a 90 pro lx. If anybody wants anything on the car now is the time to ask, or the whole car, open to offers, trades, just hit me up and lets talk.

If it wasn't a Canadian model I would take it off your hands. I have plans for a 323 race build, but due to the rules I would have to swap everything on it back to USDM spec. I'm debating if that is really worth the hassle.
