im still on the fence on this. ive only ever heard good things about megasquirt except that you really gotta know what youre doing when you tune. is there a boost controller on this?

also from what i understand megasquirt has an option for adjusting the rev limiter, what is it set at from the factory? is the boost controller something out of the realm of megasquirt's ecu tuning? i know i can get one for an external wastegate but can the ms use the factory internal wg on the turbo or is that all vaccuum actuated?

Any external boostcontroller (or stock ones like the one on my GTR) is manipulating the vacuum going to the wastegate by help of a fast switching solenoid. The boostcontroller can be replaced by code and an output in the MS if you want.
The revlimiter on mine was set to 7000rpm softlimit and 7300 hard limit. I believe that is pretty much the stock rev limiter on the BPD engine. Changing it is an 11 second job, though.'92 Mazda 323 GTR

^also agree. i went from not really knowing what to do, and with some help from people, had my car tuned fairly good in a little over a week. not to mention, the car will run fine on the base map. just tweak it some for your individual car and mods.Create your own VB Gallery here.

I'm assuming this is only for the BP? i have a B6T that i'm looking to switch to a megasquirt set-up so if you have anything for a B6T i would definately be interested

1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Lex I will, sometime before march, be purchasing a pnp megasquirt unit from you with a few of the upgrades, for the 4WD, but I have a question.
Would it be possible for you to configure the ECU to run Ford EDIS for me?
I have all the parts readily available can mount everything, but it would be extremely helpful if you could build the Megasquirt for this option rather than modifying it later on.
Here are the two little bits of info I found for it, which I am sure you already have... Also I would like to run the coil packs directly from the MS ECU rather than wire in the EDIS module.
This article covers how to configure Megasquirt for our line of universal 36-1 trigger wheels that can be fit to nearly any engine.
Let me know if this is a possibility, and if so, how much would it cost?
Thanks,

We can assemble an MS unit for you but it would be generic for your setup and we won't be able to provide the support to get it running unless you drive the car to Vancouver Canada
