Finally after two months Lex and I figured out what was going on with my PNP unit I bought from him. In the end DONT USE SERIAL TO USB Connetors with these units...it was completely corrupting my unit every time I tried to burn to it.
Lex was great to work with, helped me out big time, even paid to have the unit shipped back to him to look at. Thanks a lot lex. Right now my car is running like crap but I think I have some bad fuel injectors, and need to start learning to tune to figure it out.

I also wired in throttle position and took the green wire from the vane air flow that is normally jumpered and ran it to the fuel pump driver on the megasquirt and now the pump primes then shuts off instead of running when ever the ignition key is on.
The unit is still working great bought it back in march and have not had any issues.sigpic

Wanna know what it's like with launc and flatshift?
The AFM removal REALLY brought out the intake noise as well! I LOVE the noise my car makes now!

It's pretty loud. It's a TurboSmart VeePort. I do not have a catalytic converter. The GTR is quite a bit more laggy than the GTX, the boost don't really come on until a bit past 4000 rpm. With the MS it's a lot less laggy, though. I enjoy the midrange pull now, compared to the stock ECU.
Also, removing the AFM REALLY made a difference to intake sounds. Also, keep in mind that the clip is recorded with an iPhone with all windows and sunroof closed, so it's not really representative of the real life noise. I'll do a proper clip with a video camera with a better microphone.'92 Mazda 323 GTR

just a thought..
this will also be a direct plug into a fuel injected festiva as well.. the escort gt/protege bp ecu's plug into festiva harness's, so in theory this should plug directly into a fuel injected festiva as well!
all that is need are a few wiring changes like wiring the distributor plug to plug in the bp distributor.... anyway pretty dang sweet! count me in!
ill pick one up when i get some cash here in a month or two. nice work!festiva #1 stock daily 63 whp FTW
festiva #2 bp+t, sink trap style turbo setup, g series trans, thunderturd 60 trim, 550cc's, s-afc, rx7 vaf, 38mm external wastegate, fmic, etc.... let me know how the taillights look
