WTB: LX Engine in NY area

looking for a mazda Protege LX 1.8L DOHC engine in the NY state area prefer the west side of NY state but i am willing to go farther, if anyone can help me out witha wreckers, or know someone selling one. PM or post. thanks

i know binghamton has a couple of junkyards with BPs.

i'd search for "Western NY J/Ys" or "Central NY J/Ys" and then give them a call and see if htey have imports.

the problems is, most of the yards around here don't keep an inventory so its more hit or miss.

i live in northeastern CT (06277), and i am selling an 80k BP out of an EGT for $150. problem is... it is in my trunk, and i dont have a lift to get it out. if you can solve that problem i am willing to drive like 2 or 3 hours to meet you.

hes already driving from canada, so maybe it'd be worth it.

if it was an LX engine i would want to drive that far to get it, but my frined has one in his LX-E but it's an auto car, i think the only difference is the TB i think...

it is an LX engine. The BP is the same.

this motor came from an auto also. i could toss in a 5 speed throttle body with it though.

2 ppl can lift that engine.

lifting it isnt too bad... lifting it up and out of the trunk of an escort without straining your back or dropping it and breaking something (hand, foot, car...) is a different story

i will give you a hint www.car-part.com got my self a 40k engine for $300 and a 50k trans for $250 last summer

well in canada there's only like 3500 of these engines, who knows how manys left now, so i am looking just south of the boarder, and i don;t really want an EGT engine.

Why wouldn't you look in canada first then? People up here do have them.
