    BG lowering springs

My roommate picked up an escort gt today and he wants to start upgrading soon. Not ready to buy immediately, but would like to know what's available and how much.

Megan Racing all the way... Had a set on my cayman EGT-X (with Tokico S/Rs) liked them so much I bought another set for my MX6 (stock struts)

One of the best rides I've had on lowering springs... 2"F/1.75"R, 300f/250R Spring rate. Never any bottom outs, SMOOTH on rough highway, and great feel under hard cornering.

They go for about $140 shipped on Ebay, (Under ZX2/Escort)

Heres a pics of them on my Cayman, tire size was 205/50/15

Thanks for the input. He has a set of zx2 s/r struts that are going on too. We've been looking at eBay coilovers too, but I'm afraid they'll blow the struts.

yea i'd recommend the Megan springs as well, or H&R if you want to spend a bit more $$

ebay coilovers work, but they're stiff as hell! run the rear springs (#350) in the front and buy some used coilover springs for the rear around #175-250 for a smoother ride lol, budget coilovers ftw

I have a set of brand new Canuck Motor sports springs for a BG.. new in the box I'll let go for $120... Canuck motor sports are a local company up here.. I have had the pleasure of touring their facility and done some research and developement with them on a custom set up in the past... My cavalier had their springs in it and it was the nicest ride you could get... Generally their spring rates aren't high enough racing.. but for daily driving they work great..

He wants as stiff as possible without going full coilovers, so it sounds like eBay will be the way to go. Thanks for the input everyone. If anyone has any used coilovers they want to sell let me know. They need to be for s/r struts.

Just the fronts, before I did the rears. I didn't cut the spring rests in case he decides they're too stiff. Set at full height until he decides how low he wants to go.
