    WTB Lowering springs

OK so I'm sick of dealing with people who are trying to sell springs and then fall off the face of the earth. I need some springs before the weekend. Does anyone have anything?

I will consider the following H&R's, Eibach's, B&G's or ST springs. If you happen to have any 2.5" ID coil-over springs please post up here, i might just get some new ones for my GC's

Matt I've got probably 10 sets at the shop---any idea what rate/length you need? I'll check tomorrow when I get in...

Well I would like a set of 8" front springs, probably around 350-400lbs for the front. For the rear I would like 10" and maybe 250-300lbs. What do you think would be best for the me? I do alot of spirited driving and autocrossing.

I was actually talking to Josh about buying his current springs from the ksports, they were 420lbs if I recall and I think he said 8".

I was excited years ago for getting my ground controls, but was disappointing when the ride was bouncier than regular eibach lowering springs.

Send me an email with what you have. Mr.Mattyv@gmail.com I cant check the forum while im at work, but I check my phone and emails are sent to it.

I say just change the rates and spring lengths on your GCs. They give you way to short of a spring because they expect you to run it with the stock spring perches, and have the spring snug against the top hat before putting the car back on the ground...which essentially lowers the car about 1.5" which isn't low enough for some lol.

Chop your perches, get springs that are at least 2" taller, and figure out a spring rate.

I can tell you from my car, #450 in the fronts are too stiff and the struts cannot keep up. Also that #350 is too stiff for the rear, same deal as the fronts lol.

#350f/#200r would seem like a perfect street combo with some Tokico Blues or better valve strut...OEM replacements just can't take the abuse lol.

no i have been conversing with Jim and 420lbs would be horrible with my struts. I would need something with alot better dampening.

yep lol, you should look into the 88-92 Camaro front struts, or even the inserts...I think it was Jim who told me they're damn close to fitting the spindles, and they're valved for a much heavier car and spring rate, around a #400.

I'm going to be looking into them in the near future, just some JY struts so I don't feel bad about hackin' them to fit lol.

If you're going with OE struts, I say don't go over #350 fronts, and #200 rears....even my 626s lowering springs are only #270 fronts/#110-180 progressive rears and she's pretty damn stiff with KYBs.
