    B6T or BPT engine swap

    Hi all,
New to the forum. Been a lurker many times browsing threads for years, finally decided to register!
Anyways, I'm looking for a JDM or 323 B6T or a BPT engine. I would rather have a B6T for the strength and reliabilty, I don't care if it makes less hp

Anyways, I have money to spend so let me know if anyone has anything. The best I could find online is a B6T for like $1200 from an importer with everything and a warranty, looking to spend less than that.

    Thanks

As long as it's not a capri B6t I might be interested. Why did you go with the B6DE head?

Why would you not want a Capri motor...92-94 has the big 27mm crank nose. I have swapped all 3 of my cars to those. 2 GTX's and a BF hatch

From my understanding the capri b6t had small rods like the bpt and I'm going for reliability here. Is this wrong information?

All depends on what you want to put through it power wise. Ideally you would want to go with the big crank(from the Capri..turbo or N/A) and the BF GTX rods and your choice of piston for CR preference. If you are lookin for a GTX mill you are likely going to have some miles on it so your best bet is to put one together fresh. I did one with the 27mm crank, GTX rods and 9:1 pistons..the other is the same but with the 7.8:1 slugs. The other is stock from a very low mile 93 XR-2 that I could not pass up. A BPT is coming up next. If you don't want to build one then look for a low mile BPT.... or a good XR-2 B6T, they are tougher than you think and easier to find at a good price so don't count them out. Just my .02.
