    Wtb: 5-lug front protege hubs

Looking for a cheap set of front 5 lug hubs from I believe a 3rd gen protege. Or if some one is willing to loan me a set, that's work too.

I've read that they will fit bg knuckles And I would like to try this myself. Let me know what you got!

    Thanks,

    Ian

Protege 5 hubs will fit but there is no rotor options. Might be easier to go with mx6/probe stuff

    I'm buying parts i don't need, With money I don't have, To impress people I don't know.

Some people are like slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Sorry didn't specify, this is for 4wd application. I am having some rx7 4 pot calipers machined with adapters and will be accounting for the rotors dimensions that way.

a quick check on Rock Auto says the 5-lug rotors are 10.16", while the 4-lugs (which fit a BG) are 10.146"... that .014" makes that much of a difference?

What rotors did you look up. Did you check hat height?

it only listed diameter, it didn't occur to me that anything else would be different

The hat height or rotor offset, heard it called both, is the part I am anticipating to be te hardest to match and can hopefully adjust with the caliper adapter.

You can use protege5 hub and redrill the rotors to fit

probably not. the p5's hubs are for 5x114.3 and the bg's are 4x100. Im gonna say that the face where the wheel sits isn't large enough in diameter to be redrilled safely plus I want an upgrade, I'll be looking to use something about the size of the rx8 rotor.

                        Looking for hubs!!!

Oh come on! Guys in p.r. Do it all the time, and we all know that puerto rican dudes have always use the best craftsmanship. Lol but seriously i didnt think of that. Did you try 1g 626 rotors? They have a set the same size diameter but imnot sure on the hat offset. The p5 hubs are a direct swap to bg kuckles are the exact same dimensions as ours.

ok big guy i decided to go to the parts store the other day and compare the 626 dx rotors and the egt/pro lx 10-1/4 rotors. took both of them out of the box and laid them both on the flat counter right next to each other. busted out a straight edge and low and behold they are exactly the same hat height. the only difference being that the rotor surface is about 1/8" thicker. it could be solved by a simply machining the rotor or shaving down the pads a bit but either way they should work for the front.

I appreciate you trying to help but I really don't know what solution your trying to find for me. I want to buy 4 of the third gen protege 5 lug drive hubs( splined inside). I'm not planning on using stock brakes. Custom caliper adapter and 4 piston moboblocks.
