I am starting to plan the preparation of a fwd production ( mostly stock ) rally car. So since I am getting to know the mazda stuff and I like to have something different than all the civics and the VW I was planing a 323, but there was no 323 with the BP in north america sold as is, only protege gt.
So a friend of mine told me about the escort gt, easy to find and according to him mostly the same mechanics as a protege gt but lighter, and they are supposed to be really competitive in the below 2L production class, and in the GR2 ( non turbo open FWD ).
So the question is, since I have now a lot of protege stuff lying around what can me used on the escort ( I have in mind the bushings, rear trailing arms, ball joints, top plates, brakes..... )
And finally what do you guys think about the Escort Rally capacities and/or problems.
Thanks
