    Sub position in hatchback

Okay, I picked up a Basslink a couple of years ago for a good price (because one of the drivers was f'ed ), and just got it repaired for close to free.

    Now...

Where do I put it? I remember reading an article a long time ago about facing it towards the rear, vertically, close to the actual butt-end. Does this sound like a truth? Or am I remembering it all wrong?

I usually play hip-hop, dance, rock and pop. I know that moving it around in the hatch area will produce different results, but for practicality's sake, I don't want it stuck in the middle of the cargo area.

I was thinking offset towards the driver's side, with the main driver facing backwards.

Any ideas? Facing it into the back left corner? Turning the main driver forward and radiator towards back? Lying horizontally?

    I'm so confused.

I appreciate the advice, but I'm not sure how to apply it. The Infinity Basslink doesn't have any ports - just a 10" main driver facing one way and a 10" radiator facing the other.

      Does the advice still apply?

      Thanks!

Thanks! I ended up doing the same layout, but in the rear right. Luckily it sounded the best, since there really wasn't any other option for mounting it to the car securely and permanently, and still allowing for removal of the spare and filling of the washer fluid.

edit: holy **** i have a lot of rattling parts in this car.

Think of it this way, bass is approx 10 feet long at its loudest point, sounds stupid? I know. Try and have it 9-10 feet from the box to your head, following the direction the speaker is facing. Bass head told me this.

what works best in my car is 90* against the back seat, facing the rear.
