thats what i was thinking. or it might be taht the parts stores are cross referencing parts and they work on a regular basis, but not for the swap.
because i used a gt hub, on one side.. and a lx hub on the other..
i wish i took more pics...

Planning on doing this swap in my scortege wagon, started a thread for it in the engine swap section. Don't want to thread jack but have alot of questions.

the protege fan/rad are a different size than the MX3 one. The v6 one is taller if memory serves correctly.
The protege rad with aftermarket slim fan will work, but a custom radiator is the best option.

My friend(sohc 1.8t) used a neon rad. Escortluvr(sp) used a probe rad and I think dan [sac] used a mx3 rad.1993 Protege LX-Midnight's shadow SOLD
