    safc2 problems

i have a turbo bp. i'm currently running 11 pounds of boost and using the safc2 for fuel management. being that the na bp only has a throttle switch and not a true TPS, my car runs like crap when im just crusing around town and runs great when i drive it hard. As you may already know, the true potential of the safc can only be reached if it can be connected to a TPS. my car is pretty fast, but i also want it to be pleasant to drive. Should i convert my car to OBD2 so that i can have a TPS that i can actually use with my safc? If not.....any suggestions?

Find a TPS/throttle body from a automatic tranny BP, it uses a 4 wire TPS that will work, hook up the extra wire to your S-AFC and tune away...

so it's that light green / red wire off of the tps that gets wired to the s-afc?

Can you just swap TPS's, or do you need the whole Auto TB?

wtf you are talking about. running safc-1 w/ the switch. And runs perfectly as it is. a/f mixture shouldn't depend on how hard you press on the pedal - tune the car so mixture is correct and you wont have any problems. stock ecu works just fine with tp switch, and i see no reason why safc should not.

or swap the automatic throttle body. But thats weaksouce.

Well you can use the manual tb, but it reads backwards. I programed the WOT on the low throttle curve and the low throttle curve on wide open. But if what you guys say is correct then maybe Ill go get a auto tb.
Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

Im confused. What do u do with the engine harness if the tps connector is setup for 3 wires? Do you have to run another wire or what? Please elaborate and explain. Peace
