    Dyno Results

Well here is my base run was this

    CF: SAE and Smoothing 5

    BTW Setup is:

    N/A BP
    N/A intake manifold (Non-ported)
    BPT Exhaust manifold
    Vf-10/VJ20 Hybrid
    460cc injectors
    Vortech BTM
    Apexi SAFC II
    FMIC

And I was running 12 psi.

Can anyone guess what I drove away from the dyno with? (I will post other final two runs tomorrow.

Im going to say around 180-200 whp.

I'd be really interested how you tweaked it and what your final results were!

hahaha, Ya they came out better.

There is a little stumble from like 2600-3400 where the stock coil can't recharge fast enough so A blaster 2 is needed I think

And that is still on 12 PSI no real tuning. We were having ignition backfiring and couldn't figure out why. Took out the pluygs and I found out that NGK goes backwards for heatrange, 5's (go figure )

So after putting in some 7's the car dyno'd at 212hp. Did two runs and have to put em together or the torque curve is off. It is running kind of rich right now but it still fast. And this is only at 12 psi. I also figure I am loosing more HP because my 17" rims each weight around 20-23lbs so figure about 10 more hp lost to the wheels. So another 3 psi should put me over the 225 whp mark that I wanted to hit.

are you running the vics still or no vics?
also it seem to me that no one could ever get a msd or vortech boost timming controler to work on a escort gt or protege can you post the diagrams or give some help to others.
            thanks ryan

Well Mine works but honestly, at 12 psi I didn't need it. He said for 15 I might need it but at 12 he tuned it for no Timing retard. I lose power if I retard it at all.

So, I just hooked it up the way it says to in the manual. I will do a write-up soon. Need to get all the colors right and I need to find the box so I know what tach Adapter you need.

                Good results.

Did you play with the VAF at all?

Between the two runs was the only difference the plugs?

Yes. That is the bad part.

And no I didn't do VAF At all. Just SAFC

From what I see, the first two things that hold people back on the GTX are:

                    1. fuel delivery (larger injectors+management, RRFPR can help with that) ... this alone can bring things up to ~230whp on a GTX.

                    2. turbo (anything larger is better)

Bugs, the higher compression, and more advanced timing in your case also help with the power.

I do not understand why you only got 150/140 at that psi. I am running 7psi from my vj-20 and i have the same power.
