Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the protege scene, been posting around here a little bit but mostly lurking trying to absorb information. I think it would be helpful if everyone whose built a turbo engine would list their set up for example:
-block
-pistons
-rods
-head
-cams
-intake
-exhaust
-turbo
-boost level
-and finally performance numbers(1/4 or 1/8 or dyno)

any other relevant details would be helpful too

yeah whats the deal elscotto I was hitting 207 @ the wheels with just a few changes from your setup.

I'm not there yet, but I'm just starting to gather parts and plan my build.

-BP-05 block
-Pistons and rods undecided so far. I'm thinking of boring it out.
-BP-05 head
-BP-26 cams, maybe the turbo exintake cam
-GTR intake manifold
-Corksport downpipe, 2.5" mandrel bent exhuast
-VF-10/VJ-20 hyrbid
-I don't know how much boost..........15+ PSI maybe?
-RX-7 460cc injectors
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-Megasquirt management

Bully Stage 3 six puck clutch..

I think thats everything..

Car is making SICK power with this setup.. But next year Im going for more once I change the injectors and.. *cough* do up some other suprises...

Well you do have the vf-10 and maybe at a higher psi? I am at stock boost with the stock EGT exaust. I agree that my power is somwhat lower, but mind you my setup is very conservative.

The intake manifold was left stock from the BP=05 motor and does quite well, especially when I have to go and get my emissions passed. What other stuff are you talking about? For a more detailed look at what I have check out my post on how to turbo your BP-05 motor.

rx7 mafs
adj cam gear
gtx water pump

im going for a reliable daily driver.

How long have you ran this set up? Are the b6t rods really that strong??? I mean I would have thought 9:1 with 20psi wouldn't last too long on anything but H beams.
