Wahlbro 255 lph fuel pump troubles?

im on my 4th pump now. Im not sure whats going on but i get them from APE engineering, its the wahllbro 255lph. when i turn the key, i cannot hear it whine or anything. Its funny because i do hear it whine after i crank the and the second that the cranking noise is done, the pump whines for a second than you cant hear it anymore.i replaced the relay by the ecu, and i hear the relay click and all.Theres pop noisese coming from the exhaust as i crank the car , like it wants to start but cant. everytime i replace the pump, in 2months it stops working or something. what can cause this? i know you cant run the pump dry. can a clogged fuel filter cause this?. im just out of ideas since the car shut off on my the other day just driving it normally to work and i had to get it towed home since the fuel pump went. i do remember wen i hit the top of the fuel pump assembly the pump will try to turn on . i just dont know its pissing me off since i have to spend like 100 bucks every 3 months for a fuel pump. anyone have any ideas to help? does the fuel pupm have any other fuse/relay or something that could be wrong? thanks alot

wiring issues maybe? Loose connection? Your fuel pump should prime when you first click the key on. Have you tried testing the voltage by the pump to see if it is getting 12 volts ?

If you have gone through this many pumps then something is a miss. Im guessing wiring because after you replace the pump you would have screwed with the wiring which caused it to work again. I cant see you going through this many pumps even with a clogged fuel filter. Change the filter anyway but check the wiring..
