    IHI VJ33 BB Turbo!

This is a Ball Bearing VJ33 turbo off 99-05 Ford Ranger/Mazda B2200 turbo diesel truck as far as I have figured out! The only thing I get well searching around online is some guy trying to sell one in a forum for $1400 lol! Also that it is close to the size of a WRX turbo! Anyone have any info on this thing maybe I can do a hybrid!

Looks really small. Smaller than a vj20. What's the coldside diameter? BB and small, no lag at all I bet...

'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

since the diesels don't rev too high it is likely quite small. The centre cartridge mates to the exhaust similar to the VJ23 using a V clamp but not the VJ20

45mm so yea it's tiny! But as you said BB and tiny= no lag!

I finally found someone using one of these on a B18 LS V-tech swap he said there is very little to no lag but it's only good up to 14 psi max! I also took it to a local speed shop they said it had just been rebuilt! Until my manifold (from Skuce) gets here so I can see if I can bolt this little guy up it's sitting and if I can't get it to fit back to ebay with the new information and my search for a VJ20/T3 will continue!

Jon, My car doesn't say Honda or Acura on the back I wouldn't do such things! If it works on the manifold then I will bring it over to the machine shop my dad sends everything and have him make a flange for me! I actually have use of a band saw and drill press whenever I want maybe I will take a shot at it myself!

So i have been searching a lot more on this little guy to get as much information as I can I have found out Mazda used this turbo on their 2.0 TDI's as well as the 2.5 TDI the 2.0 is found in the Mazda 6 TDI and the Mazda Banjo, Many people over the pond use this as a turbo for the smart cars and many other under 1.5l applications such as bikes! Has anyone else come up with anything?
