    redoing clutch line

    1993 Ford Escort gt

I am assuming that the line on the transmission closest to the oil/coolant lines is for the clutch. Can I Redo that line with some brake/fuek line and reroute it out of the way of the turbo intake? The new turbo is hitting there. If I unhook it and move it out of the way there is plenty of room to redo it and move it around the turbo. Just wondering it brake line/fuel line would be strong enough.

Anyone had to do this? Thanks

it's just standard brake line so not an issue to rebend/ relocate. you can buy it pre-flared with the fittings on it @ any parts store

do you think that bracket on the top of the tranny is really needed? I am sure it either controls flex or is so you can drop the tranny easier.

it's there as a mounting point for the flex line to the hard line ... i would leave it as you really dont want alot of movement @ that joint every time the motor moves
