Hi, has anyone ever tried to swap an internal wastegate actuator on a vj20? I'm looking to limit my boost level to 8lbs via lower wastegate actuator threshold. Anyone have experience doing this?

ya, the guy that rebuilt my turbo said it was set to 13, it is a vj20/vj11 hybrid, checked my pm's and surprisingly had the old ones from when i bought the turbo, blown, from Escort91GTX. I just need to know if swapping out the actuator is at all feasible. Thanks for the input. In soviet russia, car drives you!

And I think corksport claims 2psi increase using their dp anyways. So 2psi for the dp + 2 more for no exaust and poof. Its not the wg actuator.1993 Protege LX-Midnight's shadow SOLD

b6t ecu works... the reason for my not going bpt ecu and bpt injectors, and bpt wiring harness, and bpt sensors, is that on a front wheel drive BF, it seems wasteful. The N.A. bp ran great with the b6t computer and wires, but was a little too rich in the top end. The bp-t is running too lean. Easy solution would be to limit boost via wastegate. If I were to do the swap over again, i would have swapped in the complete engine and harness and altered the car's onboard lights, switches and gauges to work with the bg-newer harness, not the way i did it, trying to get a newer engine to run on and older ECU, wires, dizzy, and all of the other shortcomings of the older bf car ie uncommon voltage of VAF signal.
i'll rant more on this subject later.
