intercooler kits

I'm thinking about making bolt on intercooler kits for the escort/protege. Kits would be around $300 plus shipping. They would come with everything needed to install plus a bov. If you already had a bov the correct flange can be welded on to accept yours.

Heres what I need to know. I can only mock this setup off my car which has a N/A intake manifold. Is there a large differance between the n/a and gtx intake? I believe the gtx is set back some just not sure how much. I will build the kits to mate up to both but still want to know if there is and how much a difference is between the two. If there is enough interest I wil get them going ASAP. I do plain on making exhaust manifolds as well. Once I make mine I will make a jig to make more as I wanted too in the past year before I sold my car.

mike, your best bet might be to borrow a bpt intake mani from someone for mockup. or buy one and resell it after. i think jim pierce had one for sale the other day... it looked pretty old, dirty, and cheap

PS: i might be interested in a nice cleanly built intercooler plumbing setup, but navigating around my new gearbox could prove to be problematic.
