Hi all, I am the owner of a 91 escort gt manual trans. I have owned for the past 3+ years and it has been a great car. The previous owner did not take good care of it, and I admit, I did not think much of it when I first bought it, but I am impressed by how reliable it is and how well it handles/drives for an inexpensive car. It recently started leakiing transmission gear oil badly, looks like the input shaft seal is shot. I will probably need to pull out the tranny and rebuild it. Any suggestions for rebuild kits? Any tips when taking it all apart? Also, I need to get a new carpet for it. Any idea where that could be found?
