I just recieved my moms 2000 mazda protege dx. they meant it as a joke, but i took it and now they aren't laughin cuz now she doesn't have a car to drive. it has the 1.6L with 120k miles. The main vehicle that i drive is a 2006 f150, so this is gonna be my fun, weekend car.
a few questions:
-i know this car has potential, but would i don't want to put thousands into it. is it gonna be worth putting aftermarket parts in it, or should i just go with oem?
^if aftermarket parts are good, what intake/exhaust combo would you recommend??
-Struts are trashed and need to be replaced, any recommendations?
-and can someone give me some specs(hp,tq,0-60) and whatnot? cuz i can't seem to find any for the 1.6
