I recently Picked up an 02 protege5 5 speed with 80k miles on it with some light front end damage. I am in the process of putting it back together and i need a passenger fender and headlight, also a bumper. Ive got the hood and bumper cover. Is there a difference between the regular protege fender and bumper to the protege 5?

Welcome to CP.
I'm fairly certain there is a difference since the P5 uses different headlights and fog lights than the sedan.

Headlights look to be the same shape.

Bumper cover is obviously different though.
Also, welcome

The fender to me looks the same. And I would think the bumper should be the same also. Why would they spend unneccessary money on a different bumper if the cars are essentially the same? Yes the P5 is a wagon as opposed to a sedan, but that difference is in the rear, not the front.
Just my logic and what makes sense to me. I could be wrong. And I haven't researched and compared part numbers, just going by looks and logic.

The sedan uses a single headlight system per side using an H4 dual filament bulb. The P5 uses the same 4-bulb system as the 3 with an H7 Lo beam headlight and a 9005 (65W) Hi beam headlight per side. Since the headlights are different I assumed the fenders could be too, although I suppose it's possible that both headlights could be configured to mount in the same fender.

2002 Protege5 fender: http://www.automotix.net/bodyparts/2...s-m220129.html
Part #: M220129
2002 Protege fender: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QQM220129.html
Part #: M220129
Part numbers match. Same fender on both cars. I won't argue with you about the headlights goldstar because obviously they are different. But if the fenders are the same, then the overall shape is the same. I think the difference between the Protege and Protege5 headlights is the internals.
As for the bumper, I am having difficulty finding anything on parts sites, sorry.
